MARGAM YOGA RETREAT

2024 Dates TBC

The retreat weekends are transformational, giving you the space and time to dive deep within to unveil the state of yoga.  We will journey into the space of Self discovery via an intuitively intelligent blend of asana (postures), pranayama (breathing practices/explorations), sound exploration, restorative bolster time, mantra, relaxation and contemplation/meditation.  Time will be allocated throughout the weekend for questions and sharing. The practices are shared via a non dual understanding and draw from Hatha, Classical and Tantrik yoga, somatic practices are interwoven throughout.  You will be held in a safe space for you to delve deep within to discover your natural state of being, re emerging from the depths of your inner most self, feeling lighter, seeing the world in a new way and with increased resilience to flow with the meandering rivers of life. The possibility of deep shifts and transformation arise during these weekends.  I am Trauma aware and have completed 7 Trauma awareness study days plus online Trauma informed courses.

The setting for the Margam retreat is Tyn Cellar Farm which was originally part of the Margam Abbey Estate and run by the monks from 1247, the date Margam Abbey was built. The venue comprises of many historic buildings which have each been sensitively renovated. The yoga sessions will all take part in the community hall.

Your accommodation for the weekend will either be in the converted 16th century stone barn which has 6 rooms with exposed beams, and wooden floors made of reclaimed pine. All rooms come with en suite bathrooms, free WiFi and tea and coffeemaking equipment. The group continental breakfast is served in a cosy dining room with a brick wall nook.

Or you can choose from a variety of cosy, recently & lovingly renovated cottages that have retained their character and charm. These historic buildings include a Grade II listed barn.

All meals and refreshments are included and are lovingly prepared to the highest standard, all meals are vegetarian.

TESTIMONIALS

Reviews from previous years

“I have done a number of retreats with Michele over the years, and they are always wonderful weekends in great company, where you can switch off from your busy life and focus purely on the yoga. I always feel refreshed and recharged after these and with the ongoing pandemic, I was so ready for one this time! Much gratitude Michele, and thank you.

“I highly recommend anyone who is unsure of attending a yoga retreat to do so with Michele who has the talent to offer clear instruction for yoga practice, be present with us all and provide a safe space for whatever needs to unfold. It really is nourishment for the soul and who doesn't benefit from some good wholesome nourishment?"

"The weekend retreat was most beautiful, a coming together with other Yogis, for an immersion in Yoga and the inner goddess. My experience was very deep and heartfelt, sensing the moving Prana and feeling the power of the divine. The schedule and contemplation time was well balanced, the space was sacred and alive... Michele, you are an amazing teacher who holds a loving space for others to dive deep, offering guidance and pointers throughout.
